A: The ISO 9001:2000 standard is applicable to any type of company in any industry regardless of the size of your company. We commonly work with companies as small as ONE EMPLOYEE to achieve the ISO certification. The key is to set up a very simple Quality Management System that meets the needs of your business. A: The 8 hour time bank included in the Coaching Kit is generally adequate for most organizations to complete the certification. There is no "minimum debit period" for each phone call or email answer. We only debit the actual time worked on your account - whether that is answering a question on the phone, reviewing and editing a document or providing information via email. More directly answering your question, if you call your consultant and spend 5 minutes on the phone, then your account is debited only the 5 minutes spent on the phone - nothing more.

Q: I have visited your website and have a question about your "ISO 9000 Certification plus Coaching Kit". The starter kit seems to have alot of valuable resources. For the $975, does that include the certificate or is there more cost associated with getting Certified?? If so, what would be the total cost.

A: The ISO 9000 Certification plus Coaching Kit includes everything you'll need to get certified. Other than the time you have to put into the project, the only other cost you'll face is the cost of the certification itself which will be around $3000-4000 (USD) for the first year, then about half of that cost in year two and following years to maintain the certification.

A: This Coaching Kit is especially designed for the company that wants a "do it yourself" approach to ISO 9001:2000 certification but doesn't want to "do it alone". By working remotely with an experience ISO consultant, you'll avoid many of the common pitfalls of ISO implementation, such as, making it too complicated. The ISO Coach is there to be sure you keep your project on track. If you have some experience with ISO, you might not need the Coach. In that case, you might look at the ISO 9000 Complete Certification Kit which gives you everything you need for certification without the formal Coaching support.

A: All of our products are ISO 9001:2000 compliant. The common shorthand term for ISO9001:2000 is "ISO 9000", but ISO 9001 is technically more correct.

A: Most of our customers find the eight hours "just right" for the amount of support needed in getting certified. That eight hours is spread over the project length up until a year from the date of purchase, so you can definitely use it as needed.

A: ISO 9000 certification is designed to be applicable to all types and sizes of organizations. The standard is written in such a way that the processes can be implemented to serve your business needs. So - service organizations can certainly benefit from thinking about who your customers are, how their requirements get defined, how your employees are trained, how management planning occurs, and a whole host of other processes. One other point about the standard is that it really doesn't prescribe how your organization carries out these processes - that's up to you. It just provides the framework for you to think through the best ways for your organization to meet the requirements.
